Rayavadee is part of the Premier Group of Companies' Raya Collection, which also includes Raya Heritage in Chiang Mai and Tamarind Village. Built more than two decades ago, the resort occupies 26 acres "surrounded by towering limestone, jungle-topped cliffs on the edge of Krabi Marine National Park," in its own description. The pavilions and villas were built around the site's existing trees rather than clearing them, and the grounds carry more than 120 plant and tropical tree species, 250-plus fern and herbal varieties, and resident wildlife including spectacled langurs, macaques, monitor lizards, and hornbills. There is no vehicle access at any point — every arrival and departure happens by boat.

The Rayavadee Spa runs seven treatment rooms, open daily from 10:00 to 21:00, with massage, facial, and body-scrub menus drawing on Thai healing traditions; the adjoining Rayavadee Salon offers hair, nail, and waxing services. The resort also has a 24-hour fitness room, a tennis court, its main pool, and a newer pool at the Nam Mao Lawn area, plus an on-site boutique carrying more than 2,500 items.
