1. Editorial responsibility
Viaive is an independent editorial publication operated by
Viaive Editorial Ltd. We commission, write, edit, fact-check, and publish original
reporting on travel, hospitality, wellness, and adjacent categories. The
masthead carries final editorial responsibility for every piece we publish
under our name. Bylines indicate the writer; editors named on the masthead
carry institutional responsibility.
We are not a travel agent, tour operator, booking platform, medical
provider, financial adviser, immigration consultant, or law firm. We
publish reporting and analysis to help you make better-informed decisions;
we do not transact on your behalf. Where an article links to a partner
who can transact, the transaction is governed by the partner's own terms,
not ours.
2. Pricing accuracy disclaimer
Travel pricing is among the most volatile data on the open internet.
Hotel rates, flight fares, restaurant tasting-menu prices, clinic fee
schedules, and exchange rates change daily and sometimes hourly. We
publish the prices given to us by the operator at the time of reporting,
dated to the month of confirmation, and we re-verify pricing on a rolling
schedule. We do not promise that the figure on the page matches the
figure you will pay at the moment you book. Always confirm the current
price directly with the operator before transacting.
Where we cite "from" prices, the figure is the lowest publicly available
rate at the time of verification, typically for the lead-in room, the
base treatment, or the simplest service tier. Surcharges, taxes, service
fees, and seasonality routinely add 15 to 40 per cent to the headline
figure depending on the category and the market.
3. User accounts
Some areas of the site require an account: subscriber-only research
briefs, the planning intake flow, and saved-itinerary tools where
available. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you
submit and for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential. Notify us
at legal@viaive.com if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
We may suspend or terminate an account for breach of these terms,
attempted abuse of our infrastructure, fraudulent activity, or for the
convenience of either party on reasonable notice. On termination we will
honour any active right to access already-paid content for the duration
of the paid period.
4. Affiliate disclosure summary
Some of the links on this site are commission-linked. When you book or
purchase through one of those links we receive a commission from the
operator at no extra cost to you. Editorial coverage is decided before
any commercial relationship is considered, and commission availability
is never a criterion for inclusion. The full list of affiliate programs,
the verbatim commission language, and the methodology that protects
editorial independence live on the
affiliate disclosure page.
5. Intellectual property
All editorial content on the site — including text, photography,
illustration, data visualisations, audio, video, and the underlying
structure and curation of the publication — is the property of Viaive Editorial Ltd
or its licensors and is protected by copyright, database, and trademark
law in every jurisdiction where it is accessed.
You may read, save, print, and share single articles for personal,
non-commercial use. You may quote short extracts (up to 90 words) with
attribution and a link back to the source. You may not republish, resell,
syndicate, train machine-learning models on, or otherwise exploit the
content commercially without prior written permission. Requests for
syndication or re-use should be addressed to legal@viaive.com.
To report alleged copyright infringement, send a written notice to
legal@viaive.com with the subject line "Copyright notice" containing: the
work you claim was infringed, the URL where the allegedly infringing
content appears, your contact details, a statement of good-faith belief,
and a statement under penalty of perjury that you are authorised to act
for the rights holder.
6. User submissions
When you send an email, complete an intake form, submit a tip, or
otherwise transmit content to us, you grant Viaive Editorial Ltd a non-exclusive,
worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, store, edit, and reference that
content for editorial, customer-service, and product-improvement
purposes. You retain underlying ownership of your contribution.
Do not send confidential, embargoed, or sensitive personal data through
the standard intake forms. Tips that require a secure channel can be
arranged by writing to editor@viaive.com.
7. Disclaimers
The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without
warranty of any kind, express or implied, including the implied
warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and
non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted,
error-free, secure, or that defects will be corrected.
Editorial content is provided for general informational purposes only
and is not — and is not intended as — medical, legal, financial,
immigration, or tax advice. Decisions you make in reliance on the
content are your own.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Viaive Editorial Ltd and its
officers, directors, employees, agents, and contributors shall not be
liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary,
or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of
the site, including loss of profits, loss of data, business interruption,
travel interruption, costs incurred at any third-party operator, or any
damages arising from a transaction you complete with a partner reached
through the site. Our aggregate liability for any direct claim arising
from these terms or your use of the site is limited to the greater of
fifty pounds sterling and the amount you paid us in the twelve months
preceding the claim.
9. Dispute resolution and governing law
We prefer to resolve disputes informally. Before initiating any formal
proceeding, write to legal@viaive.com with a clear statement of the issue
and the outcome you are seeking. We commit to a substantive response
within thirty days.
If a dispute remains unresolved after good-faith informal discussion,
you and Viaive Editorial Ltd agree to submit the dispute to confidential mediation
before either party initiates court proceedings. Mediation is conducted
in English; the mediator is jointly appointed; each party bears its own
costs and shares the mediator's fee equally.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales without regard
to conflict-of-laws principles. The courts of England and Wales have
exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute that proceeds beyond mediation,
subject to mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in the
jurisdiction where you reside.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Viaive Editorial Ltd, its officers,
directors, employees, and contributors from any claim, demand, loss,
or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your
breach of these terms, your misuse of the site, your violation of
any law, or your violation of the rights of a third party. We will
notify you promptly of any claim subject to this indemnity and will
cooperate, at your expense, in the defence.
11. Severability and waiver
If any provision of these terms is held to be unenforceable by a
court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions remain in
full force and effect. Our failure to enforce a right or provision
on a given occasion is not a waiver of that right or provision on
any future occasion.
12. Force majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our
obligations under these terms where the failure or delay results
from causes beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God,
natural disasters, civil unrest, war, pandemic, government action,
labour disputes, or failures of third-party infrastructure.
13. Changes
We may revise these terms from time to time. Material changes are
flagged at the top of this page for at least thirty days before they
take effect. Continued use of the site after the effective date
constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The revision date below
is the authoritative timestamp for the version in force.
