Dua Dari sits on a valley edge above the Petanu River gorge, a short drive outside central Ubud. It was originally the private family holiday home of Hendra Hadiprana, founder of Hadiprana Design — one of Indonesia's oldest architecture and interior consultancies, founded 1958 — later converted into a 4-suite residence-hotel while preserving the original residential structures rather than replacing them. Every element in the compound is designed in identical pairs, per the property's own description of the concept behind its name. Each residence displays Hadiprana's own curated collection of art, antiques, and artefacts from across the Indonesian archipelago.
The property is 4 one-bedroom units built as two paired villas — a Jungle View residence at roughly 80 sqm and a Valley View residence at roughly 90 sqm designed for couples — bookable individually or together for exclusive use of the full estate. There's no on-site restaurant; breakfast is served on the terrace, and dining and wellness are accessed via a complimentary shuttle to sister property Tanah Gajah Resort, also Hadiprana-designed, under the Hadiprana Hospitality brand now led by Hendra Hadiprana's daughter, Puri Hadiprana.
Dua Dari has four one-bedroom residences total: two Jungle View units at 80 sqm and two Valley View units at 90 sqm.
