Bvlgari Resort Bali sits atop limestone cliffs on the Bukit Peninsula's southern coast, roughly 150-160 metres above a private, reef-sheltered beach reached via a funicular (inclined elevator) most commonly cited at 180 metres long — among the longest of its kind, with some stairs remaining between the lower station and the sand itself, and last runs at 5pm. The resort spans 8.4 hectares and opened in 2006, Bulgari's second hotel overall (after Milan, 2004) and its first resort-format property, designed by Milan-based Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel — the same firm behind every Bulgari Hotels property — applying luxury residential design principles in Balinese materials.
Il Ristorante, opened May 2025, is an intimate 24-seat, dinner-only space beside a cliffside reflection pool, built on chef Niko Romito's technique using Bali-specific ingredients. Sangkar Restaurant runs all-day with reinterpreted Indonesian dishes in a rooster-cage-motif dining room. The Bvlgari Spa holds its own Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star award, separate from the resort's own five-star rating, most recently reaffirmed in the 2026 edition — both the resort and spa are independently Five-Star rated by Forbes.
Bvlgari Resort Bali comprises 59 villas and mansions in eight categories, ranging from 300-square-metre one-bedroom villas to a 1,300-square-metre two-bedroom villa with its own cascading pool.
