We typically pair the Masai Mara — river crossings, big cats, the open savanna most people picture when they say safari — with Amboseli, where the elephant herds are larger and Kilimanjaro sits behind them on a clear morning. Each camp assigns its own vehicle and guide exclusively to you for the whole visit, so game drives follow the animals' movement instead of a shared timetable.
The transfers between camps are short charter flights, usually under an hour, and we time them around the morning or evening drive rather than the middle of the day, so neither camp loses its best light to travel. Nairobi bookends the trip on both ends — one arrival night, one night before flying home.
